Trevor Batten's 1983 Cherokee FSJ "The Truck"
Trevor's Cherokee Australian FSJ "The Truck" has a 258 motor, T5, NP208 T-case and is fitted with: Jacobs Ignition, extractors,
100 litre water tank with pump, heat exchanger for hot shower, 270 litre fuel tank, 3 inch lift, spare wheel carrier, Rancho RS9000 shocks, fridge
for the beer, chuck wagon and is loaded with the tent and all other necessary 4 wheeling needs all the time just waiting to go.
"As The Truck has only done 250,000 miles, my wife and I are quite confident to use it for these major treks into the Australian wilderness. Many of these areas always break something and stretch most vehicles to the limit by rattling them to pieces."
"The Truck gets many a chuckle from the Toyota/Nissan owners as it was the last model sold in Australia until the Jeep brand was re-launched some 13 years later - so it is fairly rare!! BUT it never lets us down and by the end of these excursions they begin to love it (my wallet usually ends up with more money left!). My wife and I love The Truck."

Robin Johnson's 1978 SJ Cherokee "Red Dwarf"
Robin's SJ Cherokee "Red Dwarf" has a 360 ci V8 with a TH400 transmission and Quadratrac transfer case. I have Red Dwarf riding on four
BFGoodrich 31X10.50X15 ATs (soon to be mud terrain). I bought her for around 1500 dollars in 2000 and she was in very neglected shape. All of the
fluids had to be changed, the timing chain cover was cracked and was replaced, as was the waterpump, fuel lines, both sender units in both petrol
tanks, and the electrical system was in shambles. Somebody removed the manual emergency drive cables and knob for the Quadratrac too! I've put
about 2000 dollars back into her so far, and there's still a lot more that has to be done.
I've added a CB radio with dual aerials, a 200 Watt Sony car stereo, a compass, GPS Navigation, and a clinometer so far.
Soon in the future projects include completely new leaf springs, a four inch suspension lift, new shocks, obviously, a new paint job, and
re-assmebly of the cruise control. I am also planning to get a safari roof rack to repace the flimsy aluminium one that was stock, and
obtain an Australian roo-bar for the front bumper.

Matt Cutler's 1975 Cherokee
"It is a 75 Cherokee w/ a 350 Chevy/Turbo 400. Lots of plans for the future...if I can get the wife to part w/ the
checkbook."

Cornel Ormsby's 1973 Wagoneer
Cornel's Wagoneer has a 4-inch lift on later-model suspension, so it has front disc brakes
and open-knuckle steering. Tires are 32x11.50 Dunlops, shocks are Rancho, and the 360 V-8 engine
is stock except for Crane Fireball ignition.

Peter Griffith's 1982 Cherokee "Gumby"
Peter's '82 SJ has a 3" Rough Country suspension lift, 2.5" Flowmaster cat-back
exhaust, stock 360 V8, trany cooler, 3.53:1 gears, heavy duty cooling system,
31x10.50x15 Pirelli Scorpion A/T tires, and a full-power original interior package. The
driveline consists of a Limited-Slip Dana 44 in front with a Limited-Slip
AMC-20 in the rear.
Future plans include custom bumpers front and rear, a swap to a 401cid AMC
engine, a Warn 9000# winch, and lots and lots of lights.

Peter Matusov's 1979 Cherokee Chief
Peter's SJ has a stock AMC 360V8 with MSD coil and wires, stock TH-400
w/additional cooler (soon to get B&M shift kit and pan), Quadra-Trac, Borg-Warner
1305 with Mile Marker p/t kit, Dana 44 front/rear with Warn manual hubs up front,
2" lift front (factory) / rear (restored sagged factory lift), Bilstein shocks,
poly bushings, 31"x10.5R15, BF Goodrich A/T on stock 15x8 "wagon wheels", factory
brush guard, CB, Dick Cepek fog/driving lights, completely re-done interior,
front bucket seats from Lincoln MK7, and a hitch-mountable
4-bike rack.

Alan Taylor's 1978 Cherokee Chief
This picture was taken going through the "Golden Crack", on the Golden Spike
Trail in Moab.
Alan's SJ hass an AMC 360 V8 with 3" exhaust, TH 400 w/Quadratrac, a spring over
lift with relocated shock mounts and Pro Comp shocks, Dana 44's front
and rear with a locker in back and 35's (also AC, tilt and cruise!). It
flexes like crazy, and has been all over Moab and the Rockies. His 6-year
old son named it "Big Blue" and it stuck. A lot more mods are in the works since this pic.

Jeremy and Shane Tuckers' 1972 Wagoneer
Jeremy and Shane have a spring-over suspension, trimmed the fenders a little, added
some 33x12.50's on 15x8 black steelies, and a lincoln-locked front Dana 30. The stock
Dana 44 still resides in the rear and both axles sport 3.31 gears. Power still comes
from the stock 360, goes through a TH-400 auto and Dana 20 transfer case. They plan to
relocate the rear springs and change to longer Chevy rear packs with a buggy leaf.
They also have stock Warn premium turn-in hubs - no Quadra-Trac here!

Ari Myllylä/Vesa Heikkilä's Jeep Wagoneer
Jeep Wagoneer with an AMC V8 360 motor,
3-speed TH400, lowered first gear, vacuum
served Quadra-Trac. Front axles are
Dana44/Komet, ARB-locker, front spring U-bolts
turned upside down. Rear axles are Dana44's,
ARB-locker.
It has a Trailmaster suspension & shocks,
lifted 4" in the front and 3" + 2" rear.
Also installed are 38" Super Swampers,
with innertubes with two air valves.
