- MileMarker Electric Winch -
To date, we have only used our MileMarker Electric Winch a few times, but it really has gotten a work-out.
The first time I used the winch, we had taken a trip out to the local ORV park for a day of wheeling when no more than 15 minutes after getting there, one of the Jeeps' clutch exploded. Bad thing was, there was a lot of snow and it was all up-hill back to the entrance. We hooked up some tow straps to the injured Jeep and towed him as far as we could go.
I went up ahead and backed up to a tree and anchored my vehicle from the rear. I ran my MileMarker e9000 winch cable down hill about 75 feet to another jeep. He then ran his winch cable down to the broken Jeep. We then took turns winching for awhile. At times I was winching both Jeeps at the same time. I couldn't believe the strength of this MileMarker. We winched the broken Jeep up far enough that my winch could safely reach it. Once again my cable was out to about 75 feet. Keep in mind this is all winching uphill!
Surprisingly enough, when we got him up the hill the MileMarker wasn't even warm.
I can honestly say that while the MileMarker may not be the fastest winch on the market, after winching two Jeeps uphill for a bit in the snow and then just winching the one up another 75 feet, I'm sold that it's probably the best.
P.S.
The MileMarker is ONE TOUGH WINCH! I would recommend the MileMarker e9000lb. winch to any one who is looking for great quality at a decent price.
