We're currently performing what should be our last underhood modification for some
time on our Project '82 Scrambler. We are updating our Chevy 350 with a Holley Pro-jection
4Di system. Our old Edelbrock carburetor never worked very well off road, even with the
"off road" needle and seat kit installed. Lately, the carburetor had become completely
unbearable and barely driveable. Rather than dump any more money into a carburetor, we caught
up with the 90's with an EFI kit.
The kit we chose will fit any engine producing 225-400 horsepower with a 4-barrel
manifold. Our 350 is around 240 hp, but with a 383 build up planned for a couple of years
down the road, this gives us plenty of room to grow. We are currently still in the
installation/tuning phase; we'll dive into the nitty gritty in the next issue and fill
you in on all the incredible features of this kit. This kit truly takes EFI adjustability
and control to an extreme. Stay tuned.
