Delaware Jeep Association:

The idea for the Delaware Jeep Association was originally born in thread on Quadratec's message board. It seems that Paul McCullough, Rob Smith, and Steve Smith had an idea: why not start a Jeep club in Delaware? Soon others in the area had found the thread and posted ideas and generally were in favor of getting something off the ground. Eric Smith (there's a long-running joke about the number of Smith's on the board) found a web-based bulletin board somewhere, and we all started using it. About a month later, it joined the ranks of the dot-bomb economy and closed up shop. That's when DEJA got it's new and current home -- here at home! :-)

Originally we were using www.jeepoffroad.org, but after putting up a poll and discussing it for a long time, the club collectively came up with Delaware Jeep Association, or DEJA, for short. We looked for a domain name that made sense, and found www.delawareja.com was open... and the rest is history.

DEJA was originally just a place to come and hang out... a pretty informal group of people with a common geographical location and interest. We've grown a bit, and are now organizing into a full-blown 'club' with organized trail runs, an annual Toy Run to A.I. duPont Hospital for Children, a good sense of community, and more. We don't even really know where things will end up... but that's ok... this isn't a high-pressure type of place.

Four Wheeling! The Wasatch Explorers 4x4 Club gets together at least one weekend a month to 'wheel some of the best trails Utah has to offer. You can find out when our next scheduled run is by clicking on the "Calendar of Events". We also get together every April for the Easter Jeep Safari and 'wheel some of the best trails that Moab has to offer. You can check out our "Members Rides" area for more information on all of our members and some great pictures as well. Green Country 4Wheelers:

It's really small and there aren't alot of members...yet. The site sucks and is about to be totally revamped. We are always looking for new members. We are pretty mild as of now. The club probably won't be around for much longer 'cause the majority of the members are going to college next year. If we can get some younger (or older) members to pass it on to, we'd be happy to do it.

Overmost 4WD:

"OverMost 4WD" was started June 2000 by a group of friends that enjoy the sport of four wheeling. Our main purpose is to enjoy the thrill of accomplishing the obstacles of the trails in front of us in a safe manner. We explore most of the Jersey Pine Barrons, Paragon Off-Road Park in Pennsylvania, and any other local areas.

Club runs include all types of 4wheel drive vehicles from Jeeps to Suburbans, stock to heavily modified. With the different types of vehicles and different modifications done to them there are always new and exciting things happening.

We are hoping to expand this club to new levels. If you have a 4x4 vehicle and have the desire to wheel feel free to contact us and we would be happy to give you additional information regarding the club.

South African Jeep Club:

The South African Jeep Club was formed in September 1976 as a non-profit organization to promote the interests of Jeep Owners in South Africa. Due to the decline in numbers of Jeeps in South Africa and the growing interest in four wheel drive vehicles for recreation purposes, the Club has since been opened to all types of four wheel drive vehicles. The Club strives to be a symbol of organized four wheelers concerned with fauna & flora, natural resources and recreation in South Africa.

The Club has had a steady growth of members over the past years and has a membership of over 400. It has a documented constitution and is controlled by a committee of 12 members selected each November at an Annual General Meeting. On taking membership, each member agrees to adhere to the code of conduct and rules of the constitution in the interests of the Club and the four wheel drive community in general. A monthly newsletter keeps everyone up to date on the latest activities and gives members a means of reporting back on events. Membership also includes a free copy of the WIEL magazine each month.

The Club is a member of the Association of All Wheel Drive Vehicles of S.A., The Off Road Radio Association, the Civil Defense and the United Four Wheel Drive Association of U.S.A. and Canada.

Club activities are mostly of a family nature. A monthly meeting is held where members can put their vehicles to the test, improve their driving skills and socialize with fellow members.

As the Club is registered with Motorsport S.A. it is possible to obtain licenses to hold events classified as motorsport events under the rules and protection of Motorsport S.A. Some members participate in the National 4X4 Challenge Series as part of this. Other events include the annual Rust de Winter Jamboree - most probably the biggest gathering of 4X4's in the country.

A very successful 4X4 EXPO is organised annually in Pretoria. All manufacturers and accessory & component manufacturers participate in this event.

The Club participates in community projects such as fund raising, fun fairs, donating blood and charity projects such as entertaining less privileged of disabled children.

General meetings, attended by all Club members, take place during the course of the year to get input from members as to the Club's activities. Functions for Club members are also held. This includes a free supper and dance at year end.
